Jo-ANN Perrin, msn, BSN,rnc, CCE

Jo-Ann has been a registered nurse for over twenty years and has worked in diverse clinical areas.  She found her true passion over 21 years ago when she started work on a labor and delivery unit and has since become a certified childbirth educator.  Jo-Ann always had a love for working with expectant parents and helping to create a wonderful birth experience for them. In addition, Jo-Ann has advanced her career by becoming the Patient Safety Coordinator of the OB/GYN department at Mount Sinai West.

 As a childbirth educator, Jo-Ann uses her wealth of experience and knowledge to help prepare parents for their pending birth.  Her goal is to help ease concerns and answer any questions parents may have about their labor and delivery experience.

Lauren pregiato, msn, rn, fnp-bc, cce

Lauren Pregiato, is one of our part-time educators, she was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, has been a labor and delivery nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital for over 10 years.  Her nursing career began after receiving her bachelors degree from the University at Buffalo in 2005.  After a few years on a transplant unit, Lauren knew her heart belonged to labor and delivery and has been there ever since.

Lauren has been a part of thousands of births, helping women throughout their labor and during the birth of their babies.  As a childbirth educator, she is experienced in teaching different methods of relaxation and breathing techniques during labor and assisting in postpartum/newborn care as well as lactation.

In addition, Lauren has a masters in science and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who currently works as the OB/Post Partum Nurse Practitioner at Mount Sinai Hospital.  Lauren also has experience teaching at the NYU School of Nursing undergraduate program in maternity.
